Test Prep

A significant part of my math tutoring is dedicated to SAT and ACT math section preparation.

I support students using private tutoring and group classes. My group classes can be found using the following links at Outschool. They offer an affordable alternative to private tutoring because the best way to improve SAT/ACT performance is to spend time each week over the course of six months to a year to develop the detailed proficiency and consistent exposure to the topics covered on the test. Students who have followed this method have seen huge leaps in their SAT and ACT scores.

SAT Preparation: I have three different group classes that each have their unique approach to training for the math portion of the SAT. All classes have the same cost and all meet for 25-minute sessions once a week. Often, to gain as much practice and exposure to instruction on a variety of SAT problems, families will choose to enroll a student in more than one of these classes concurrently.

My rapid-fire math SAT practice class

This class randomizes the math topics in a rapid-fire of problems we solve together, focusing on how to build fluency and speed and tips for trimming time in getting at the right answer quickly.

My comprehensive math SAT prep class

If you are looking for deep thorough instruction on every single math topic and want to keep your student engaged over the course of six months to a year, this is your course. The group does a battery of questions on each and every math topic College Board covers and decides as a group when they are ready to move to the next topic. Completing this circuit of group classes will ensure your student has had instruction on every corner of the math SAT.

My killer questions class

This one is not for the faint of heart. If your student is looking to take their already great scores and move them into the higher echelon of SAT test performers, this is the class for them. There are questions on the SAT that are designed to separate the top-tier students from the rest and this class takes those challenge questions on.

My ACT prep class

The ACT has a different approach to choosing math questions than the SAT, although many of the concepts overlap. This class focuses only on ACT math topics using well-established ACT practice problems.
